HOW TO INSTALL INTERIOR DOORS OR BEST METHOD TO REPLACE DOORS

CONVENTIONAL DOOR INSTALLATION METHODS VS OUR SUPERIOR METHOD

Doors are sold according to two installation methods:

- A Preassembled Door (a Door with the door jamb attached)

- A Blank or Slab Door  (just the door itself)

The Homeowner's BEST Option:

"SLAB" or "BLANK" Door Method:

This method involves replacing a door, by itself.

The door is called a "slab" or "blank" door, because it comes without an attached door jamb
or door frame.

This is the homeowner's best option, because their existing door jambs and door moldings
stay intact, and there's no damage incurred to the adjacent wallpaper or paint.

Contractors avoid this type of installation, because it's hard to find the highly-skilled craftsmen
who still rely on old-fashioned measurements.

Also, due to the high margins for error and unpredicatable installation times, it's a consistently
less profitable job for contractors.

"PREHUNG" or "PRE-ASSEMBLED" Door:  Wasteful & Expensive Method

This is a more expensive door, because it comes with the door jamb or door frame already
attached, as part of the unit.

Contractors prefer this method, because it doesn't require highly skilled labor for precise fitting
and installation.

Unfortunately, they have to rip out your existing door jambs and door moldings, and possibly
damage your adjacent wallpaper or paint.

This method is the least beneficial to the homeowner.

Why?  It's because the homeowner has to also match and replace his existing door moldings,
and any damaged wallpaper or paint, which is factored into, and increases the cost of the job.

Conventional Contractor's Inefficient, Costly Method

Traditional contractors want to sell you a pre-hung or pre-assembled door, which comes
with a door frame or door jamb already attached, as part of the door unit.

This is easier for the contractor to install, since no precise measurements have to be made,
and thus, possible errors in human judgment.

The problem with a "pre-hung" door is that the contractor has to rip out your existing door frame
and door moldings, as part of the installation process. Damage may also be incurred to any
adjacent paint or wallpaper.

THE SOLUTION:  OUR SUPERIOR METHOD

Interior Door Upgrade, LLC has the best alternative, which involves replacing the
door itself only, with a blank or slab door.

Our system accurately transfers the dimensions of an existing door to a replacement
door, enabling us
to replace doors much faster than our competitors, and to charge
much less
.

It leaves little room for human error, since the fitting precision is built-in.

Unlike traditional installers, our system allows us to work outside the home, so there isn't
any or little mess, noise or household disruption.

This also allows us to install the doors more efficiently and quicker, when done on-site.
